Youth baseball and softball just around the corner

SBSA begins registration for 2023 season
Dec. 8, 2022 — The Siuslaw Baseball Softball Association (SBSA) has opened registration for the spring 2023 season.
Youth 4 to 12 years (if they turn 4 by Sept. 1, 2023) are invited to register for baseball and youth 7 to 14 years can register for softball from now until Jan. 13, 2023. To register go to tshq.bluesombrero.com/Default.aspx?tabid=1887770.
Assessments will be Sunday and Monday, Jan. 15 - 16 for Rookies followed by Minors and Majors assessments a week later on Sunday, Jan. 22. Softball assessments, time and location will be announced when available.
These times are subject to change. Locations and any time changes will be posted to the SBSA Facebook (www.facebook.com/siuslawbaseballassociation) and Instagram (www.instagram.com/siuslaw_baseball_softball/) pages.
On Sunday, Jan. 29 there will be an all-parent meeting for both parents and players. Here, the league will review season schedules, team and player guidelines and measure for uniform sizes (if needed).
“We will be available on Jan. 29 to answer any and all questions so we can ensure a smooth kick off to the 2023 season,” said the SBSA in a media release. “Our goal is to continue to build the best program we can for all of our ball players in baseball and softball. We are striving to be the best league we can and enable the best opportunity for our youth to excel in our program and compete at the highest level.”
The SBSA will, once again, be seeking season sponsors for financial assistance. These funds will help with field work and maintenance, team uniforms and gear.
If you are an individual or business that would like to participate as a sponsor email [email protected].
