Oregon Dunes Chapter DAR, OCMM sponsor the Aug. 27 exhibit

Aug. 19, 2022 — Mark your calendar now for this opportunity in Florence! On Saturday, Aug. 27, the Wreaths Across America (WAA) Mobile Exhibit will be at the Oregon Coast Military Museum, 2145 Kingwood St., from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.

The goal of this Mobile Education Exhibit is to bring local communities and our military together with education, stories, and interactive connections. 13 WAA Mobile Education Exhibits will be hosted in Oregon by a variety of Oregon service organizations.

The Florence event is co-hosted by the Oregon Dunes chapter Daughters of the American Revolution. A special pinning ceremony will take place at 1 p.m. for Vietnam veterans.

Wreaths Across America, a non-profit organization best known for coordinating wreath-laying ceremonies at national veteran cemeteries every December, will be showcasing a Mobile Education Exhibit (MEE) across the state of Oregon for the first time ever throughout the month of August at several locations.
