March 1, 2022 -- Western Lane Baseball Association (WLBA) is offering spring baseball to seventh and eighth graders in the Florence and Mapleton area.

The season will run from the middle of March to the middle of May.

The goal of the WLBA is to provide seventh and eighth graders with a spring baseball season, as baseball is not a offered through the school district.

Sign-ups will be held at Siuslaw Middle School, 2525 Oak St., on Friday, March 4, at 11:30 a.m. in the commons.

Currently, WLBA only has one coach, so roster size is limited to 15 ball players.
