WARREN—Mary Ann Warren passed away on June 12, 2021

WARREN—Mary Ann Warren passed away peacefully on June 12, 2021, after an acceleration of her dementia due to a recent fall and surgery.
Mary Ann was an avid book reader. It’s befitting, as she worked the library system in North Lima, Ohio, until she retired.
She traveled the world with her husband, Ward S. Warren (deceased), and enjoyed writing about all the memories.
She became a runner after watching Ward join their son Pete D. Warren, in one of Pete’s 5K running races. Soon afterwards, she joined Ward in running and, after “many miles,” became quite an accomplished runner. She went on to place in many races.
Subsequently, she became a “gym rat” into her mid 70s until she suffered a stroke.
Soon afterwards, Mary Ann moved closer to her son in Florence and found a place to live near Bay Street.
Daily, she visited the restaurants’ and became friends with numerous owners, workers and patrons.
Her happy disposition easily brought smiles to everyone around her.
She leaves behind her only child, Pete and grandchildren, Nadja K. Warren and Kevin C Warren.
There will be an informal service on July 10 at 10 a.m. at Church on the Rock, 1750 18th St., in Florence.
