Tiny teachers (yes, babies!) needed by Siuslaw School District

Innovative program helps teach youth empathy

Nov. 11, 2022 — The Tiny Teachers Program will make a visit one time each month to Siuslaw Elementary classrooms this school year, but they need more teachers.

If you have a 2–4-month-old baby, you could be one of our Roots of Empathy families. This innovative program has been shown to increase prosocial behavior and decrease bullying in the children who participate. Help Roots of Empathy change the world one child at a time.

Roots of Empathy is an international, evidence and empathy-based classroom program designed for children ages 5 to 13. The program is in New Zealand, the United States, the Republic of Ireland, England, Wales, Northern Ireland, Scotland, Norway, Switzerland, Netherlands, Costa Rica, Canada and South Korea.

If you are interested in being a Roots of Empathy family or more information, go to rootsofempathy.org or email [email protected]
