Aug 22, 2018 — Tedra ‘Tee-dee’ Redhead (Tennison), 64, died at the Riverbend Hospital on Aug. 10, 2018, in Springfield, Ore.
Tedra is survived by her father; husband Rick; her children: Tracy, JJ, and Rikki; her brothers: Albert and Steve; and granddaughter, Taylor.
She is preceded in death by her mother.
Tedra was born April 19, 1954, in Florence, to Ann and Leo Tennison.
She attended the Mapleton School District. She married John Bettger and together they had Tracy and JJ. They divorced and Tedra married Rick Redhead in 1992; Tedra and Rick welcomed their daughter Rikki into the home in 1994.
Tedra held several jobs throughout her life, much of her work being in restaurants. She owned her own restaurant in Dexter in the 1980s.
Her children remember her as a loving mother who supported them in their goals and life choices. Tedra was very intelligent and loved to read. She also enjoyed cooking and baking.
Tedra was diagnosed with cancer around 2010 and has fought a long, hard battle ever since. She will be greatly missed.
A celebration of her life will be held Saturday, Sept. 1, at Rick’s home (14577 Highway 36 in Deadwood, 97430) starting at 2 p.m.
Food will be served; guests are welcome to bring a dish and refreshments.
