Friday, Gov. Kate Brown announced a two-week statewide freeze on certain social and business activities. Oregonians are being asked to curtail interactions with others not in their same household during this period. The freeze is aimed at slowing the recent rapid spread of COVID-19 in Oregon, to protect communities that are more vulnerable to the virus, and to help conserve hospital capacity.
To further this effort, Siuslaw Public Library District will be temporarily suspending some library services through at least Dec. 2, including public computer appointments and kids’ activity kits for pickup.
The library will continue to offer curbside pickup service on its regular schedule. Patrons may call 541-997-3132 to request items Monday-Friday, 10 a.m. to 1 p.m.; or make a request any time at siuslawlibrary.org. Pickup and return hours are Monday-Thursday, 11a.m. to 2 p.m.; and Friday, 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. in the main library lobby.
Patrons must wear a mask or face covering to enter the building.
For account questions, library reference services or other assistance, staff will be taking calls at 541-997-3132 during regular hours, Monday-Friday, 10 a.m. to 6 p.m.
