LINDBERG—Shane Lindberg, 59, passed away suddenly on December 20, 2021, while visiting in Springfield due to a medical complication.
Shane was born and raised in Florence, Ore., and spent most of his adult life either on the Oregon coast or in the Salem and Eugene areas. During the past few years, he lived in Lincoln City and, most recently, Waldport.
Shane was blessed with a talent for wood working and created tables and carvings using myrtle wood. He was very successful at selling his sculptures at various craft shops along the Oregon coast. Working with wood brought Shane a great deal of happiness and a sense of fulfillment.
He was predeceased by his father, Bill Lindberg. He is survived by his mother Teddy-Jean Lindberg, with whom he had a close and loving relationship; her longtime companion Bob Rawding; brother Rodney Lindberg; his wife Carol and their children Cory, Troy, Whitney and Beth; as well as his sister Hope White, her husband Darryl and their children Madison and Samantha, and several other family members.
At this time, the family does not anticipate a service, although a celebration of life will be scheduled in the future.
