Booster Club asks public to order tickets early so food can be ordered accordingly

Sept. 7, 2022 — Saturday, Sept. 10, will be a festive day for Viking fans as two important events of concern to Siuslaw sports fans will occur on the same day.

First, at 11:30 a.m. the Siuslaw Athletics Booster Club (SABC) will host its annual Siuslaw Sports Hall of Fame induction ceremony at the Florence Events Center, 715 Quince St.

Then, at 5:30 p.m. the booster club will hold an auction to raise money for Siuslaw athletics. That will be held at Three Rivers Casino Resort, 5647 Highway 126.

The SABC asks that those attending the daytime event, the Hall of Fame Induction Ceremony, to order their tickets online, as soon as possible. Lunch will be served, and a no-host bar will be available. Though tickets will be available at the door, by ordering early you will allow the booster club to make a better estimate of the amount of food needed, which will reduce waste and help Booster Club funds go to student/athletes as opposed to surplus food for the ceremony.

The Siuslaw Hall of Fame will induct its Class of 2020 as COVID delayed their ceremony the past two years.

Those that will be inducted will be:

• Rob Dimick, Multi-sport - Class of 1975
• Jesse Schute, Golf- Class of 2005
• 2004 Boys Cross Country team
• 2006 Football team
• 2005 Boys Golf team
• “Three-peat" Girls' Cross Country Teams of 2004, 2005, 2006

Later that evening the SABC will host an auction.

“Siuslaw Athletic Booster Club is an all-volunteer organization that promotes and supports Siuslaw’s athletes and coaches,” said Cameron Jagoe, SABC President. “The financial support the club receives from membership dues and fundraising activities provide significant resources and equipment for Siuslaw High and Middle School.”

Thanks to the generosity of many community members many exciting items will be auctioned to support Siuslaw athletics.
