GABRIEL—Ronald H Gabriel Sr. passed away on July 4, 2022.
He was born Aug. 17, 1939, in New Brunswick, N.J. He was the youngest of the 10 children of Nicholas Gabriel and Mary Travisano. His family eventually settled in Glendora, Calif., in 1952, where he graduated from Glendora High School and enrolled at Citrus College and the University of Southern California.
Ronald was a veteran who served in the U.S. Navy as an officer during the Vietnam War and was honorably discharged to the rank of Lieutenant. He moved to Pennsylvania and established the company Susquahanna American with two partners. He worked as a managing consultant in the healthcare industry for nursing homes and hospitals. He served as president of the State Board of Examiners of Nursing Home Administrators for the State of Pennsylvania for two terms.
During his time in Pennsylvania, Ronald lived in the Scranton/Clark Summit area, Pittsburgh and Harrisburg area, and eventually retired in Florence, Ore.
He worked hard his entire life to support the family he loved. He was a people person who loved to tell stories and make others laugh.
He is survived by his sister Beverly and five children: Amanda, Ronald Jr. Carol, Shaun and Matthew.
