Rannow paces second-fastest 3,000-meter school record

Rannow was the only Siuslaw representative at the invitation-only meet

May 4, 2019 — During last week’s 55th Centennial Invitational track meet in Gresham, Siuslaw junior Hannah Rannow moved a step closer to surpassing the Siuslaw girls 3,000-meter record (10:09.22) set by Katy Potter in 2013 — a record that remains the seventh-fastest time in state 4A girls history.

Last Saturday, Rannow ran the course in 10:14.56, edging out Siuslaw alumns Celie Mans (10:17.77) and Morgan Bingham (10:25.70) to take over No. 2 on the school’s all-time list, where Mans (2017) and Bingham (2016) are now No. 3 and No. 4, respectively, followed by Samantha Pummer (10:33.25, 2009) in fifth place, and upcoming 2019 hall-of-famer Raelyn Robinson with Siuslaw’s sixth-fastest time of 10:37.03 set in 2008.

Rannow was the only Siuslaw representative at the invitation-only meet.
