May 20, 2022 — As of 11 p.m. on Election Day on May 17, 88,334 voters in Lane County had cast their ballots in the Primary Election. For the first time, the election will include votes postmarked on Election Day.
Lane County Elections reported that staff must process the ballots delivered by the Post Office after Election Day by hand.
“The new law that allows ballots postmarked by Election Day (and received by the Elections Office within a week) helps makes voting in Oregon even more accessible and helps support the democratic process throughout our state,” the department stated.
Next results for Lane County were available on May 20 at 5 p.m., after press deadlines.
