OSGOOD—Lawrence G. Osgood, born March 28, 1948, passed away Aug. 23, 2020.
It is with deep sorrow and much love that we mourn the sudden passing of Larry of Florence, Ore., at the age of 72. He was the son of Donald John and Gerri Osgood (nee Green) and raised in Newark, Calif.
He will be lovingly remembered by his wife of 51 years, Debra “Deb” (nee Lockhart); daughters Mrs. Julie (Todd) Crawford of Andover, Minn., and Mrs. Lyndsey (Kevin) Carmody of Palm Harbor, Fla.; grandchildren: Daniel Landon, Skylar Carmody, Sidney Carmody, Lucas Crawford and Jacob Crawford; brothers: David of Pleasanton, Calif. and Mike of Manteca, Calif.; sisters: Donna of Walker, Minn., Diane of New Rockford, N.D., Suzanne of Jamestown, Calif., and Ann of Modesto, Calif.; as well as numerous brothers- and sisters-in-law, nephews and nieces.
He retired to Florence, Ore., after 37 years of dedicated service to Pacific Gas & Electric in 2007. He loved fishing, crabbing, RVing, brewing beer, Karaoke and cooking with the notoriety of being “Chef Larry” and — last but not least — learning the bass guitar and being a member of “Sally and her Pals” band.
He will be missed by many friends of the 1858 Elk’s Lodge and the Florence Senior Center.
A celebration of his life will later be announced early spring 2021.
Burns’s Riverside Chap-el Florence Funeral Home is in charge of all arrangements.
