Oregon Dunes Triathlon June 11

Annual event held in Dunes City area
June 8, 2022 — The event includes four races with exciting, scenic courses in Dunes City. Starting with the swim in the clean and clear Woahink Lake, participants then bike along beautiful, quiet, country roads of Dunes City, and run through the winding trails and campground of Honeyman State Park. The race finishes with an epic and unforgettable climb up the Oregon Dunes. After a weekend full of outdoor activities and breathtaking scenery, participants and their families will look forward to an annual trip to the coast for the Oregon Dunes Triathlon.
The clean, clear, shallow waters of Woahink Lake warm up quickly and make for a great early season open water swim on the Oregon Coast. Woahink Lake is one of the cleanest lakes around and is the main drinking water supply for Dunes City.
The bike course features a challenging bike with rolling hills and a few climbs depending on the race. While some may call this bike “tough,” they readily admit that it is one of their favorites. The scenic ride travels along quiet, low traffic roads surrounding the lake and outskirts of Dunes City.
The run is one of the more exciting courses around the area. With trails, road and even some sand, you won’t get bored on this course! You will enjoy the views as you twist and turn through the beautiful Honeyman State Park. This memorable race concludes with a finish line dash up the dunes overlooking Cleawox lake. Talk about an epic finisher photo.
