OHA to hold daily COVID-19 Vaccination Clinics at FEC

Clinics will offer walk-in vaccinations Dec. 31 through Jan. 21

Dec. 29, 2021 — Thanks to a partnership between Lane County Public Health, the Oregon Health Authority and the City of Florence, COVID-19 booster shots, 1st and 2nd doses, and pediatric doses will be much more available in west Lane County.

Oregon Health Authority (OHA) will be hosting daily walk-in COVID-19 vaccine clinics at the Florence Events Center, 715 Quince St., from Friday, Dec. 31, through Friday, Jan. 21, with the exception of Jan. 18.

The Florence Events Center clinic will serve any and all community members needing any one of the above vaccinations.

The clinics will be from noon to 7 p.m. Monday through Saturday, and 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. on Sundays at the Florence Events Center. These clinics will be walk-in, no appointment necessary.

Vaccines available are:

  • 1st, 2nd doses of Moderna, Johnson & Johnson, and Pfizer
  • Booster doses of Moderna, Johnson & Johnson, and Pfizer
  • Pediatric doses for ages 5 +

People in Oregon age 18 and older are eligible for booster shots six months after a second dose of the Moderna or Pfizer vaccine or two months after the single dose of the Johnson & Johnson vaccine. Boosters provide added protection from serious illness from COVID-19.

Additional information and any updates will be shared on the FEC website at www.eventcenter.org, as well as the Lane County and OHA websites, lanecounty.org/vaxclinics and healthoregon.org/coronavirus.

The Florence Events Center is among four new high-volume vaccination sites opening across the state to provide easy access to COVID-19 vaccines and booster shots. Other locations include Pony Village Mall in North Bend, the Roseburg Public Library and Spirit Mountain Casino in Grand Ronde.

“These sites will offer all three COVID-19 vaccines, boosters and pediatric doses,” OHA announced Dec. 23. “The vaccines are safe, effective and free. You do not need health insurance. No appointment is necessary.”

There are an additional six high-volume sites across the state, along with other options through local medical providers. For more information about vaccination clinics and providers, go to GetVaccinated.Oregon.gov.
