Marian “Skip” Weiss, passed away on November 11, 2022.

WEISS—Marian “Skip” Weiss passed away peacefully at home in Florence, Ore., on November 11, 2022. Born on December 23, 1934, Skip passed just short of her 88th birthday.

Skip had an enthusiastic nature and deeply enjoyed life. In her early years, she had a passion for camping and skiing and in later years she enjoyed square dancing, RV’ing, and playing bridge.  After her retirement from the State of California Employee Development Department, Skip and her husband, Don, shared many happy travel adventures together. They spent time between Arizona and Florence before finally settling in their adored home in Florence year round.

Skip is preceded in death by her loving husband of 50 years, Don J. Weiss, and daughter Elizabeth. Skip is survived by her adored blended family. Son Robert Carlson, three step-children, Jannine (Val) Weiss, Michael (Judy) Weiss, and Phillip (Jean) Weiss and grandchildren Amanda Banta, Allison Wilson, Ray Carlson, Dylan Weiss, Kyle Weiss and Bailey Weiss-Hulsey.

Skip will be missed by her family and friends. In accordance with her wishes, there will be no services.  Skip was a member of the Neptune Society. Her ashes will be scattered at sea off the coast of Depoe Bay, Ore.
