Jan. 20, 2021 — The Last Resort Players invites all members, former members, and future members to attend our annual membership meeting Sunday, Jan. 24 at 2 p.m.
The Last Resort Players is Florence’s own original, homegrown community theater company. They have a history of producing a wide variety of shows. They have done dramas such as “The Diary of Anne Frank” and “Master Class,” comedies like “Moon Over Buffalo” and “A Christmas Story,” and lavish musicals including “Les Misérables,” “Cabaret,” “Chicago” and “Mamma Mia.”
These last many months have been difficult for the creative community, but with 2020 in the rearview mirror, the Last Resort Players stands ready to create a bigger and brighter future.
“We are always ready to welcome new energy and talent,” said Vice President Jim Wellington. “We have room for you whether your interests lie in acting, singing, directing, lighting or sound, set design and construction, or costuming.”
Last Resort Players will hold the meeting via Zoom on Sunday, Jan. 24 at 2 p.m. People should plan to log in 5 to 10 minutes early, so that any glitches may be handled. The web address is:
