Lane County is ready to help spread the recycle word this Earth Day, April 22.
There are 5,000 free copies of the Recycler’s Handbook available to schools, teachers, events, churches and groups of any kind. Recycling and reducing waste is something easy that can be practiced each day to take care of the planet and protect its future.
It can be hard to remember all the details, so keep a copy of the Recycler’s Handbook to look up what to do with items such as old paint, Styrofoam, tires and more.
To order a copy of the booklet, contact Waste Reduction Specialist Sarah Grimm at 541-682-4339 or Master Recycler Coordinator Kelly Bell at 541-682-2059.
Up to three copies can be mailed. Larger quantities will need to be picked up during business hours.
