Oct. 20, 2018 — Jane Ashley (Vanloan), 82, was granted her angel wings on Oct. 11, 2018, in the comfort of her home in Coos Bay, Ore.
She was born in White Plains, N.Y., in 1936 but moved to Oregon in the 1960s with her husband, Robert Ashley.
Jane lead a full life of traveling, to 49 states, to be exact. When she wasn’t site-seeing, she enjoyed reading novels, history, spending time with family and sharing her impeccable wisdom with us.
She was a proud resident of the Oregon Coast and, while living in Florence for nine years, enjoyed her membership on the Florence Democratic Club, serving as an advisor on the Advisory Committee and as a docent on the Siuslaw Pioneer Museum.
Jane was predeceased by her husband, Bob, and her first born, Teresa Kinnaird (Ashley).
She is survived by her two remaining children, Rachel Wagner and Anthony Ashley; her son-in-law, Tim; four grandchildren: Londa, Kenny, Elana, Colton; and two great-grandchildren, Treyton and Alexa.
She will be sincerely missed.
“Until we meet again.”
