How to participate in the Aug 14 City Council meeting on the proposed emergency shelter

On Monday August 14, 2023 at 5:30 p.m. the Florence City Council will hold a special meeting in person at the Florence Events Center, located at 715 Quince Street. The purpose of this meeting is for the City Council to consider input on the Florence Emergency Cold Weather Shelter (FECWS) Group’s proposal for an Emergency Shelter.

  4. Drop Off at the City of Florence drop box located at Florence City Hall (250 Hwy 101) to the right of the main entrance.

Note: Written comments received at least 2 hours prior to the meeting (August 14, 2023 at 3:30 p.m.), that concern a public hearing or action item on the agenda, or are designated as comments to be provided for the meeting, will be distributed to the City Council, posted to the City of Florence website, and made part of the record.

  1. Verbal Testimony: Citizens may provide verbal comments at the meeting on public hearing items and action items in person or via the GotoWebinar platform. To do so, please complete a speaker’s card at least one hour prior to the start of the meeting (August 14, 2023 at 4:30 p.m.).
