Gary Dollinger passed away suddenly on August 12th, 2023, at 57 years young. Gary was born in Florence Oregon, on December 29th in 1965 to Sharon Ann Dollinger, and Roy Lee Dollinger. He was preceded in death by his mom Sharon, his father Roy, and younger brother Kevin Gene Dollinger. Gary is survived by his son, Mitchell Dollinger, sister Janet Gollhardt (Dollinger), his loving wife Jody-Abbott Dollinger, Jody’s children who he considered his own, Tyler Donaldson, Delcie Moore (Donaldson), and his grandchildren, Beckham, Sophia, Amelia, and Sawyer, among many cousins on the Skinner family side, as well as the mother of his son K’lyn Shipley. In high school, Gary was an avid football player “Go number 74!” For the Siuslaw Vikings. He loved to hunt, and fish, camping, and spending time outdoors. His Harley Davidson motorcycle was his pride and joy, if the sun was out, you’d find him on the highway with his Harley, or camping and driving his side-by-side. Gary worked as a heavy diesel mechanic after graduation, until 1999 when he started work at the Georgia Pacific Paper mill in Toledo, Oregon where he was still employed at the time of his death. A memorial potluck will be held for family and friends on Sunday September 24th, 2023, at the Woahink Picnic Gazebo, beginning at 12, Noon. Hamburgers and Hot Dogs will be provided, if you would like to bring a dish, please feel free to do so.
