May 2019 — This year the FRAA Rhody Days Arts Festival will be held Saturday, May 18, from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. and Sunday, May 19, from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m.
Presented by the Florence Regional Arts Alliance, this event is the perfect place to experience, meet and shop the unique works of art and fine craftsmanship of our local and coastal artists and craftsmen:
Brad & Ginny Kliever (Foggy Bay Studios) — kitchen utensils as well as felted scarfs, bags, etc. ; Guy Lundy — wire wraps of gemstones and rocktography; Garden Treasurers — pressed flower art and upcycled metal art sun catchers and wind chimes; Debi Ford — pendants of coastal treasures like stones, agates and shells; Rich Huckins — creates everything in wood; Jeanne Ternahan — creates everything in fabric including doll clothes; Ralph & Vicki Martin — Scroll saw wood art; Nancy Gant (Simply Lampwork) — little works of art in lampwork beads; Marie Hinze — quilts and wall hangings of all sizes; Sandra Kay Hayes — fill your kitchen with new linens & more; Pat Tellez — beautiful beadwork of flowers, etc.; Ed Kogut (Red Eagle Gems) — custom gold & silver jewelry; Danielle & Jennifer Goldblatt — photography and wreaths; Kris De Noyer — hand sculptures ceramic critters; Claudia Brown — the latest designs in sea glass, wirework and beads.
In addition, Jen Hornaday (Healthy Bees = Healthy Honey) will helps people choose their favorite honey and Spiritopia will bring their premium brandy, whiskey, liqueurs and specialty wines to get you in the “spirit” of the event.
The artists will be donating 10 percent of their sales to support the Florence Regional Arts Alliance Arts Center, located at 120 Maple St. in Historic Old Town. So bring a friend, shop for some unique treasures, and support the arts.
