Local dignitaries, including Florence Mayor Joe Henry and State Rep. Boomer Wright, were among the community members in attendance.

The highlight of the evening may have been when Sea Lion Caves General Manager Jim McMillian presented the museum with a check for $25,000 to help support the continued operation of the museum that celebrates and helps to preserve the area’s history.

McMillan was pleased with the turnout and appreciates the support that was shown.
