Eugenia "Jean" Rosa Weber, passed away on August 21, 2022
Weber—Eugenia Rosa Weber, known as "Jean" to everyone, passed away on August 21, 2022, in Florence, Ore. She was 101 years young.
Jean was born on May 19, 1921, in Oregon City, Ore., to Homer and Evalon Prior. She was preceded in death by her husband of 69 years, Donald Weber. She was also preceded in death by her parents and her younger sister, Shirley.
Jean grew up in Olympia, Wash., during the Depression era but regularly returned to her place of birth to visit her adoring grandparents. In 1939, she married her husband Don and they raised their family living many years in northern California.
She was a loving wife to Don and loving mother of two daughters, Nancy James of Gig Harbor, Wash., and Bonnie Weber of Florence, Ore. She was also the proud grandmother of three grandchildren, Jason James, Staci James and Todd Gupton, Sr.; great-grandmother of Cassandra James, Todd Gupton Jr., Ruthanne Morrison and Michael Hisel and one great-great grandson, Peter Hisel.
Jean was the leader of an aqua exercise class at Florentine Estates, loved cooking, sewing, and traveling with her husband Don to Canada, Europe and across America, including Alaska.
At Jean's request, private ceremonial rites were held with no services. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Disabled American Veterans on her behalf. Burns’s Riverside Chapel Florence Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
