Sept. 11, 2020 — Coldwell Banker Coast Real Estate is accepting donations of bottled water, sports drinks and ready to eat shelf stable high protein snacks to send to the first responders fighting Oregon Wildfires.
Real estate broker Dani Flescher has been working with city and county officials along with Oregon Red Cross to identify the needs of the firefighters on the front lines.
According to Charleston Fire Chief Mick Sneddon, “The firefighters require sufficient protein and hydration to keep working.”
The need is critical and resources are in short supply.
Donations are being accepted at Coldwell Banker, 100 Highway 101, all next week with Florence Habitat for Humanity delivering collected items to the valley.
People can also donate at Habitat for Humanity's Parking Lot, 2004 Highway 101, today, Sept. 12, from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m.
If people wish to include a note of encouragement for our hardworking first responders, Coldwell Banker will include them in the care packages.
