Bay Street now has ‘Heart’

Public Art Committee continues rotating art gallery
Oct. 17, 2020 — Another in the second series of installations in the City of Florence’s “Art Exposed” rotating art gallery was installed Friday at the Maple Street Park, located on the south side of the intersection of Maple and Bay Streets. The piece was created by Matthew Duffy, who resides in Washington, D.C. and is titled, “Low, Poly Open Heart.” The striking metal sculpture stands approximately 5 feet tall, 4 feet wide and 2.5 feet deep. The “Heart” is made of metal, polished to a bright shine, with cherry red tractor paint highlights.
