Annette Campbell Wilson passed away peacefully on September 4, 2022.
WILSON—Longtime Florence resident Annette Campbell Wilson passed away peacefully on September 4, 2022, at Sisters, Ore.
She was born June 21, 1947, in Paris, France. Her early years were spent between Cottage Grove on the family farm and logging camps near Elkton, before moving to Florence in 1949. She grew up on Heceta Beach Road; the oldest of 10 siblings, she was affectionately known as “Nanny.”
Annette graduated from Siuslaw High School in 1965. Thereafter she attended Lane Community College in Eugene, before getting married on Dec. 30, 1965, to Jerry John Wilson (Class of 1959). Together they built a commercial fishing business and raised four children.
Annette is survived by her father: Charlie Rariden; her children: Danielle Wilson Glenzel of Eugene, Ore., Noelle Wilson of Beijing, China, Rachelle Wilson Myhre and Jason Myhre of Sisters, Ore., and Benjamin Wilson of Florence, Ore.; grandchildren: Gabriella Parker Woolridge, James DeGrange, Emily Glenzel, Eli Glenzel, Jenna Glenzel, Jerrel Wilson Brown, Adrianna Roberts, Isaiah Wilson, Peyton Myhre, Adelyn Myhre, Sydney Myhre, Gracelyn Myhre, Dylan Decker, Tiffanie Decker, and Emily Wilson; siblings: Marika Campbell Terpsma, Patrick Campbell, Jerry “Jim” Campbell, Kenneth “Kim” Campbell, and Nicole “Niki” Matthews Powell; and numerous nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her husband of 45 years, Jerry; her mother, Simone Rariden; her father, Bill Campbell; sisters, Colette Campbell and Monique Keeney; and brothers, Larry Campbell, Kirk Rariden and Clint Rariden.
She will be dearly missed by her family and friends. A memorial service is planned for 1 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 12, at the Florence Foursquare Church.
