Nov. 14, 2018 — Allen Jay Bartlett was born Jan. 15, 1927, in Snoqualmie Falls, Wash., and passed away after living in Florence for over 45 years.
Allen attended Multnomah School of the Bible and was a part-time pastor for many years, living his life honoring his Lord and Savior. He is best known as a contractor in Florence from 1972 until retiring in his 80s.
Allen was married for 69 years to his wife Dorothy, who passed away three months ago. He will be greatly missed by his eight children, 31 grandchildren and 53 great-grandchildren.
Allen passed away at home on his beloved Greenhaven Farm up the North Fork with many of his children by his side. He enjoyed working in his orchard, logging and cutting firewood right up to the end.
A private family service is planned.
